I’ve always been transfixed by the amount of time and skill it takes to create a finely crafted object, as few and far between as they may be these days. That’s why after a move from NYC to London in 2012, finding myself in the heart of Old World European craft, I realized I needed a way to share my passionate love of craftsmanship and travel, tabletop and artisanry, tile work and textiles, by paying homage to these amazing artisans, craftsmen and designers, and the lifestyle they enhance. Handmade is the best made. Growing up in a generation of Ikea, MTV, and lots of plastic, I have long wondered why my generation did not see the same value in a rare piece of porcelain or a finely stitched leather attaché.

We’re always looking for the next best thing. Well maybe the next best thing has actually been that thing that’s been there all along.
