The Chai Box: A Passion For Chai

I fell in love with TheChaiBox because the company founder, Monica Sunny, is clearly so talented and passionate about her work and the blends she creates. The quality of Monica’s Chai blends are immediately evident upon first sip and all of her ingredients are sustainably and ethically sourced.

TheChaiBox was started by Monica Sunny with the intent to create teas that matched the flavors and quality that she grew up drinking with her family. Monica Sunny started blending Chai at twelve years old. Growing up in an Indian household, Monica found Chai to be an integral part of her family’s daily ritual. A cup of Chai connected her family and provided an outlet to slow down and enjoy time together.

Monica was inspired to start TheChaiBox after she became a mother to three boys in Atlanta,GA. She wanted to instill the same tradition of family time centered around Chai that she grew up with, in her own children. She began doing ‘Chai Time’ with them after school on Fridays and this evolved into Moncia’s friends reaching out, asking for tea blends and recipes. Eventually Monica found the natural next step was to start her own tea blending company to expand sharing her love of Chai with her community. Thus, TheChaiBox was born and has flourished ever since.

SUSTAINABLE AND ETHICALLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS, NO PESTICIDES OR ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS.

Monica creates blends from her mother’s recipes and finds inspiration from different regions of India. All of TheChaiBox ingredients are from local farmers and do not use any pesticides or artificial flavors. TheChaiBox uses ingredients that are ethically sourced and handpicked from farms in Kerala, India. The core of Monica’s company ethos is using Chai to connect with friends and family while valuing the work of local farmers who take great pride in the quality of their spices.
