The Story

“Modern is a synthesis of both memory and invention,” as said by the founders of O&G Studio, Jonathan Glatt and Sara Ossana who met over ten years ago as Graduate students at RISD, where Jonathan studied jewelry and metals and Sara studied Interior Architecture. The duo look towards the rich history of American design traditions for inspiration. Their combined backgrounds allow them to blend intricate detailing with a play on scale and proportion to bring traditional motifs into the 21st century. They have been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Elle Décor, Yankee Magazine as well as recently being named as one of “Ten Contemporary Designers to collect Today” by VOGUE magazine. They currently work out of combined studio, showroom and workshop in Warren, Rhode Island.

Well, hello there! Nice to see you again. Where have I been you might ask? Good question. While there is no perfect excuse for my absence, it has not been because I have something better to do. In fact, I have been up to some new and exciting things all in the name of Interior Monologue and I can’t wait to share them with you. Promise to keep you posted (literally). Happy to announce there are a lot of new and exciting posts on their way, more frequent Instagram findings as I uncover artisans around the globe, as well as some of our very own product that will be launched. Exciting, isn’t it? Please follow me on Instagram here (interior.monologue) if you aren’t already doing so. Now let’s get started on the rest. Someone I am very excited to introduce you to is a furniture company from Warren, Rhode Island called O & G Studio. We met at the ICFF in NYC as I stood transfixed at their stand. The stand design itself was gorgeous as was the chest of drawers that held center court. I cannot stop dreaming about this chest of drawers. I had the good fortune to meet one of the owners, Sara Ossana (the “O” in O & G), who graciously entertained my endless questions about their pieces and took a lot of time to explain the origins and vision of the brand.

O & G Studio is comprised of two founders Jonathan Glatt (yes, you guessed it, he is the “G” in O & G) and Sara. They met over ten years ago as Graduate students at RISD, where Jonathan studied jewelry and metals and Sara studied Interior Architecture.
