MAKER STORY: Bernard Maisner
After 30 years of experience, Bernard Maisner is instantly recognizable with his signature flourish and Maisner Script. He has become synonymous with luxury, special occasions, and high-profile society events. His talented hands are brought to all mediums of stationery — from sets to paintings exhibited in galleries and museums.
The signature Maisner Script is a modernized blend of Copperplate and Spencerian writing with delicate and beautiful flourishes. He utilizes elements of writing from different eras and countries in his International Collection of Italian, French, and Americana lettering styles; the Italian style was specially created for Valentino.
Twenty years ago, Maisner began lending his mastery to social calligraphy and quickly skyrocketed in popularity for wedding stationery, party invitations, menu cards, place cards, and personal stationery. Between all of this, he has created a unique world where social stationery and calligraphy can be everyday luxuries afforded to everyone.
