Once a year, in the spring, nomadic Mongolian goat herders harvest the fleece not by shearing but by gently combing the animals and carrying on a tradition of producing some of the finest Cashmere the world has to offer. Each item is hand-crafted in fine, sustainably sourced Mongolian Yak Down, Cashmere and Camelhair. Designed to be loyal and lasting – A Warm Friend.

Sean McNanney, who was most recently at Ralph Lauren Home, is an artist and designer based in Brooklyn, NY. Drawing from his roots in textiles and inspired by the traditions of Mongolian nomad culture, he has dedicated SAVED NY to provide luxurious warmth to your home. Each item is handmade in sustainably sourced Mongolian Yak down, cashmere, or camel hair. The SAVED collection brings old world traditions into the new with unique designs influenced by Victorian ephemera, French ironwork and early 20th century textiles. SAVED NY pieces are meant to be warm, stylish, and long lasting which makes them the perfect gift for a loved one.
Mongolian cashmere is a celebrated luxury fiber unique to the complex and dramatic landscape from which it comes. Like the Yak, the Hircus Goat grows a fine, warm and lightweight undercoat beneath its coarser hair in order to survive the colder seasons of its hostile home environment. Once a year, in the spring, nomadic goat herders harvest the fleece not by shearing but by gently combing the animals and carrying on a tradition of producing some of the finest Cashmere the world has to offer. The Mongolian nomadic life relies deeply on the providings of the land and the elements of the earth, thriving only in patterns of constant migration.
Sean collaborates with incredible artists including Richard Haines and our beloved Antoinette Poisson, bringing their extraordinary work to a whole new texture of luxury textiles. What other collectors’ items can also keep you so cozy and warm through the winter?
