Givenchy loves Cate Blanchett.

She can do no wrong so who can blame them? I think Cate loves Givenchy. Who can blame her? Since it’s award season, I felt compelled to give a little shout out to the both of them after watching Ms. Blanchett captivate us all with her amazing Givenchy dress at the Golden Globes.

As we’ve seen throughout the years, Cate Blanchett loves the beautiful embellishments of Givenchy to make her mark on the red carpet. Here are a few of my favorite beaded, sequined, and fringed looks that the award winning actress has donned on past red carpets. An homage to the gorgeously embellished, and of course, hand embroidered couture gowns that the duo have made red carpet memorable moments.

I feel that Creative Director Ricardo Tisci carries on the tradition of Hubert de Givenchy himself by making Givenchy the house to wear on the red carpet. At least it is the house to wear if you aren’t afraid of taking some risks. But no one wears it quite like Cate! Her most recent look covered in flowing pink fringe definitely holds on to all of the old Hollywood glamour while staying fresh and exciting.

Looking forward to her reveal on the Oscar’s red carpet next month! Will she be in Givenchy? We shall see. Whatever she wears I know it will be flawless and fabulous.
